Step into my nurturing sanctuary in Putney, South West London, where we celebrate natural beauty and holistic well-being.

Upon arrival at my home studio, you’ll be invited to relax with a cup of herbal tea while I apply your personalised organic henna blend — a treasured family formula passed down through generations.

Refined over the years, this blend is infused with indigo, cassia, amla, neem, aloe vera, and warming spices to nourish your hair and soul. After the application, you’ll leave the paste on for around three hours before rinsing it out at home.

I offer a range of henna shades, from golden blondes and rich browns to deep, pitch black. The final colour may vary depending on your hair’s natural pigment, treatment history, molecular structure, moon cycle, and hormonal shifts. It's a slow beauty process that builds up and deepens with each application.

Whether you’re transitioning from chemical dyes or simply seeking stronger, glossier hair, I’m here to guide and support you on your journey to vibrant, healthy locks.

Join us at Henna & Curls and embrace the deep, radiant beauty of your naturally coloured hair.

FAQ

Can henna make your hair thicker?
Full of antioxidants, which help to improve hair growth, henna hair dyes work to achieve fuller, thicker hair strands. It is used to balance pH levels and can also reduce hair-fall.

Can henna prevent hair loss and dandruff?
Henna has proven to be effective against dandruff and can be used to clear scalp build-up on your scalp and unclog your pores. It is also said to calm down and soothe any itching on your scalp.

How often should you apply henna to your hair?
Depending on your hair growth and colour preference, you can reapply henna every 4-6 weeks.

How long does it take for henna to work on hair?
Henna may usually take 2-3 days to give your hair a deep colour and nourishment.

Can I apply henna on chemically treated hair?
Yes, you can have henna on hair that has been previously dyed with chemicals. Because most chemically treated dyes contain ammonia, it is very important to wait between 6 and 8 weeks to henna your hair.

Should you shampoo your hair after henna?
You may avoid using shampoo on your hair after applying henna as the colour may develop properly in 2-3 days. Washing your hair with shampoo can result in lighter hair colour too.

Is henna healthier than hair dye?
Henna provides a more natural and gentle colouring experience, with potential benefits for hair health. Unlike permanent synthetic dyes, henna will not dye your hair a uniform colour - the subtle lowlights and highlights in your hair will shine through in a naturally beautiful way.

Will henna cover my grey or white hairs?
Grey is the colour we perceive when we look at hair fibres that have lost their melanin. If your hair is naturally blonde, these white hairs instead give the impression that your overall hair colour is lightening.
‘Grey’ or white hairs are more resistant to dye. Henna does not have the power to conceal grey, however, henna can have a stunning effect on greying hair. It tints them in a dazzling, twinkly way that looks healthy and natural. Using henna creates a highlights-esque effect. It can also help them to blend into the rest of your hair a little more if that is desirable.
